Where does this tradition come from?
Every great story seems to begin with a snake
Thanksgiving has its roots in celebrations for the end of the conflict, arriving safely to a destination, and a good harvest season. Such celebrations began in 1621 between Native Americans and English settlers. When the English set foot in America, they wanted to celebrate their safe arrival and the harvest season but were totally unprepared and had little food. So, they started hunting. Americans heard the gunshots and thought that war was coming, so prepared themselves for the worst.

When the Americans realized that the only thing the settlers wanted was food, they unexpectedly, sent some men to hunt deer for the feast, and for three days, the English and native men, women, and children ate together. The meal consisted of deer, corn, and roasted meat. They played ball games, sang, and danced

Must-eats are: roast turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy Thanksgiving is a perfect time to reflect on the year alongside family and friends. In New York City, thousands of people line the streets of Manhattan to watch. This particular parade is known for its giant inflatable balloons that float between the skyscrapers, high above the onlookers.
